Learn how to make a lino-cut print from start to finish in a friendly in-person workshop with LGBTQ+ women, trans and non-binary people, led by Wild Water Art Store's Gemma Curtis. 

When: Tuesday 1 March, 6:30-8:30pm 

Where: Glass House, 118 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 6DG, UK

Cost: £30 (the cost includes provision of all materials, and you take home the art you make)

Over the two hours together, Gemma will take you through the lino-printing process from start to finish. We'll being with a few warm-up drawing skills, leading into some linocutting techniques and a demonstration on how to transfer your design onto a lino-block. Over the second part of the workshop, you'll learn how to carve your design and finally how to make a print!

We're looking forward to bringing a group of lovely queer women, trans and non-binary people together to learn a creative skill and make new connections with each other. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available to enjoy throughout the evening, with the venue open afterwards to hang around and chat. 

The Glass House is London's newest LGBTQIA space to create a safe and welcoming environment for the queer community. The bookshop and toilets are wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately the downstairs space we will be using is not accessible.

Gemma Curtis Bio:

Gemma Curtis is an artist, teacher of over 15 years and LGBTQ+ advocate, who rediscovered a love for lino-printing during the first lockdown. She set up a new business - Wild Water Art Store on Etsy and has much to say about creative wellbeing, taking risks and lessons learnt along the way.
